These Terms of Service govern your use of the Studio Edit website and your purchase of products, digital content, appointments, services, parties and workshops from Studio Edit.

By accessing our website, placing an order or making a booking, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies linked on our website.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Throughout these terms, “Studio Edit”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Studio Edit.

Website use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

interfere with the operation or security of the website;
introduce viruses, malicious code or harmful material;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another person’s information;
use the website for fraudulent or unlawful activity;
copy or commercially exploit website content without permission; or
provide false, misleading or incomplete information.

We may restrict or terminate access to the website where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Eligibility and customer information

You must be legally capable of entering into a purchase or booking.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian may need to complete the purchase, booking or required consent on your behalf.

ingredient lists may be updated by manufacturers; and
minor differences may occur between website images and the product received.

We may correct genuine errors, update product information or withdraw a product from sale.

Ingredients, allergies and product use

Customers are responsible for checking product ingredients, warnings and suitability before use.

Prices and GST

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.

Displayed prices include GST where applicable.

Shipping charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed before checkout is completed.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted unless there is a genuine pricing error.

Orders

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that it has been accepted.

An order is accepted when we confirm it or begin processing it.

We may decline or cancel an order where:

payment cannot be authorised;
a product is unavailable;
the order contains a genuine pricing or listing error;
fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected;
delivery is unavailable to the supplied address; or

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will provide an appropriate refund.

We may limit quantities where reasonably necessary, including where products have limited availability.

Payment

Shipping and delivery

Physical product orders are subject to our Shipping Policy.

Available shipping methods, destinations and charges are displayed at checkout.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Returns and refunds

Returns, exchanges, refunds and consumer remedies are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened, used or tested cosmetics and beauty products cannot be returned for change of mind. This does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

Appointments and makeup services

Appointments are subject to availability and any booking conditions displayed when you book.

You must provide accurate information about the service required and disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions or other information that may affect safe service delivery.

We may decline, modify or stop a service if continuing would be unsafe, unsuitable, unlawful or outside the agreed service.

Please arrive at the agreed time and follow any preparation instructions supplied before your appointment.

Cancellations, rescheduling, late arrivals and non-attendance are subject to the booking terms disclosed when the appointment is made.

Lessons, parties and workshops

Lessons, parties and workshops are subject to availability, participant requirements and any conditions displayed at booking.

A parent or legal guardian may be required to provide consent for participants under 18.

Participants must follow reasonable safety, hygiene and conduct instructions.

We may modify an activity where reasonably necessary for safety, participant suitability or circumstances outside our control.

Workshop content, products, activities and inclusions may vary from promotional images or previous sessions while maintaining the overall nature of the advertised experience.

If Studio Edit cancels a paid session and cannot provide a suitable alternative, customers will receive an appropriate remedy.

Children and supervision

Children must be collected promptly at the agreed finishing time.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

providing accurate emergency and medical information;
disclosing known allergies and sensitivities;
providing any required consent;
ensuring the participant understands appropriate behaviour expectations; and
remaining contactable during the session.

Studio Edit may contact a parent or guardian and require early collection if a participant becomes unwell, cannot safely participate or behaves in a way that creates a material safety concern.

Digital products and downloads

Digital products are licensed for personal use unless otherwise stated.

You must not reproduce, redistribute, resell, upload, share or commercially exploit digital content without written permission from Studio Edit.

Access links may be limited to the original purchaser.

Change-of-mind refunds are not available once digital content has been accessed, downloaded or delivered. This does not affect rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital products.

Gift cards

Gift cards are subject to the terms displayed when they are purchased or issued.

Gift cards:

cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law;
must be used before any applicable expiry date;
should be treated like cash; and
may not be replaced if lost, stolen or used without permission unless required by law.

Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes may have separate conditions, including validity dates, minimum purchase amounts, product exclusions or usage limits.

Unless otherwise stated:

only one discount may be used per order;
discounts cannot be applied retrospectively; and
discounts cannot be exchanged for cash.

We may cancel or correct a promotion affected by a genuine error, fraud or misuse.

Intellectual property

The website and its content—including branding, logos, photographs, graphics, product copy, face charts, educational resources, workshop materials and digital downloads—are owned by or licensed to Studio Edit.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell or commercially use this content without our prior written permission.

Purchasing a product, service, lesson or workshop does not transfer ownership of Studio Edit’s intellectual property.

Reviews, photographs and submitted content

If you submit a review, photograph, testimonial or other content, you confirm that:

the content is accurate and genuinely reflects your experience;
you have the right to submit it;
it does not infringe another person’s rights; and
it is not unlawful, defamatory, abusive or misleading.

Studio Edit will not use identifiable client or participant photographs for marketing without appropriate permission.

Third-party services and links

The website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment providers, delivery carriers, booking platforms and social-media websites.

Studio Edit is not responsible for third-party websites, services or content outside our reasonable control. Third-party terms and privacy policies may apply.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

By providing personal information, you consent to its use for processing orders, managing bookings, communicating with you and operating Studio Edit as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studio Edit is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the website or a product or service.

Where liability cannot be excluded but can lawfully be limited, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for loss or damage arising directly from your unlawful use of the website, your breach of these terms or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This section does not apply to the extent that loss or damage was caused or contributed to by Studio Edit.

Changes apply from the date they are published and do not retrospectively alter an order or booking already accepted unless required by law or agreed with the customer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

The parties submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in New South Wales, subject to any rights a consumer may have to bring a claim elsewhere.
